April is Sexually Transmitted Infection Awareness Month

Each April during Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Awareness Month, the American Social Health Association (ASHA) loudly trumpets the fact that 19 million new cases of STIs occur in the US each year—about half of them among youth ages 15-24 years. The need to improve our sexual well-being cannot be underestimated, as more than half of all people in the US will have an STI at some point in their lifetime
